Going for a walk around Tucson can be hot, but not if you walk in the evening. I went for a walk to a local park and took a few pictures along the way. I left a bit after sunset so it was dark for most of my trip
The park has softball and soccer fields and plenty of lights.
One field was being used, but all four were lit up as if it were noon, perhaps some energy could be saved here?
I was really in the light the whole trip because we have streetlights on all night.. I saw about 6 cars the hour I was on this walk, perhaps we could just use our headlights? I know I'd rather pay a few bucks less in taxes and walk with a flashlight. But it does allow me to take a night pic of about a half mile of street to nowhere
Some cactus under the lights. with the flash the image gets much darker, but I set the camera on a tree and used the self timer and no flash. This way I would not move the camera pushing the shutter button and the shutter could stay open a bit longer to gather the image as if it were on a tripod. I think the little digital camera did a great job capturing the interesting effect of cactus under the high output lighting
